Practical Motorcycle Test
Practical Test Information
The practical test is conducted from your local Multi-Purpose Test Centre. It consists of two modules.
Required Documents
You must bring four documents to your test:
- For new photo-card licences: Photo-card, paper counterpart, CBT certificate, and theory test certificate
- For old-style paper licences: Driving licence, valid passport, CBT certificate, and theory test certificate
Module 2 Test Procedure
- Eyesight Test: Read a standard number plate from 20.5 meters
- Safety Questions: Answer two 'show-and-tell' questions and one pillion passenger question
- Radio Test: Check the radio connection with the examiner
- Test Ride (30-35 minutes): The ride will include a U-Turn, an angle start, a hill start, and several exercises involving pulling in at the kerb
Following the ride, the examiner will provide a debrief and your result. If you fail, you must wait ten clear working days before rebooking.
